Odds 'n Ends
Welcome to the Back Page! This is where we publish the odds and ends that our readers send in, from artwork and writing, to shout outs, thoughts on gaming, and whatever fun and silly things we can come up with. If you have something you want to show off to the rest of our readers, head over to our submissions page and fire off an e-mail to us!
Cover by Jacqueline Brasfeld!
Our awesome cover this issue was created by Jacqueline Brasfeld, who took the idea of “The Socially Conscious Gamer” and really ran with it. If you want to know more about her art, you can drop Jacqueline a line at jacqueline.brasfield@gmail.com.
Miittens
Knitters who find the little ball-shaped hands on Mii avatars adorable should be sure to check out an awesome pattern by Michelle Hotchin in the Winter 2009 edition of Knitty: Miittens. Is there anything cuter than a baby who looks like she’s about to play some serious Wii Sports? Perhaps not!
Gaming Content at Fantasy Magazine
Cerise’s own Robyn Fleming is writing a column, Girl+Game, at Fantasy Magazine. Check out her latest article, “Quest for Adventure Games” at Fantasy now! And while you’re there, be sure to browse around and take a look at their other gaming content, some of which is reprinted from Cerise.
Structural Changes Coming at Cerise
Starting with this issue, there will be some changes in the publication schedule for Cerise. We’ll be moving to a quarterly format for many of our subjects, while keeping a mini-mag with reviews and other timely pieces updating on a more regular basis. Keep an eye on the Iris Network’s news page for more info!
